Transport to The JCB Academy
As a regional academy with a wide catchment area, The JCB Academy provides a dedicated transport service to ensure learners can travel safely and efficiently. This service is operated by trusted transport companies and is partly subsidised by the Academy.
Our Transport Service
All learners use the Academy’s transport service unless they live within walking distance.
Routes and times are reviewed annually and may change to meet demand.
Buses operate from main towns and cities within the catchment area, stopping at key points along major routes to accommodate learners from a wide area, we are unable to pick up at every village or suburb within the region.
Key Information
Earliest pick-up: Approximately 6:45 am on some routes.
Charges: Transport costs are based on your home zone:
Zone 1: £1,300/year (£108.33/month)
Zone 2: £1,400/year (£116.67/month)
Zone 3: £1,500/year (£125.00/month)
Payments can be made in full or via 12 monthly Direct Debit instalments.
Please note that the cost of the transport is non-refundable.
Expectations & Conduct
We expect all learners to follow the Transport Code of Conduct to ensure safety and respect for others. Sanctions apply for non-compliance.

Delays & Issues
Transport is managed by private companies who aim to keep to schedule. If delays occur, please contact the relevant transport provider directly.
