Learning Beyond the Classroom – Experiences That Last a Lifetime
At The JCB Academy, we believe that education should extend beyond the classroom. Our trips and visits—often referred to as Learning Outside the Classroom—provide learners with enrichment opportunities, cultural experiences, and unforgettable memories.
Each year, we strive to offer a wide range of activities that broaden horizons and enhance learning. These opportunities change frequently, and we never know what exciting experiences might be around the corner!

Employer Partner Visits & Enhanced Learning
Working with our extensive network of employer partners, learners often have the chance to visit companies and see industry in action. These visits provide first-hand experiences and often link to our Employer Challenges, giving learners the opportunity to engage directly with businesses as part of their learning journey. In addition to employer-led experiences, we also seek other opportunities to support topics, learning, and enrichment—always looking for new ways to provide exciting and valuable experiences for our learners. Past visits have included:

Rewards & Activities Days
At the end of each academic year, we celebrate success with a range of activities that give learners the chance to try something new and enjoy time with friends. Past activities have included:

Our major trips offer unforgettable experiences and are always evolving. Past adventures have included:
- Ski Trips: Popular annual trips to destinations such as France and Italy (in 2023/25, we ran two ski trips!)
- New York: Sightseeing and cultural immersion

- Italy: Engineering tour to Ferrari, Pagani & Ducati
- Poland: History visit to Auschwitz
- Texas, USA: Visit to JCB partners
